What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. We follow the School District of Hillsborough County calendar for the Preschool portion (8;30-11:30) of the day. If SDHC is closed, then Preschool is not in session. However, we are open for those children enrolled in Extended Care (after 11:30). There are a few exceptions to this and those days are listed on the God’s Garden Preschool calendar.
The Center is closed for:
- New Year’s Day
- Strawberry Festival Day
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Judy 4
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Black Friday
- Christmas Day
Preschool is closed, however Extended Care is open during Spring Break Week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Thanksgiving Week and parts of the Christmas Holiday Break.

What curriculum do you use?
We use the Wee Curriculum for preschools. It is faith-based, play-based, hands-on type of learning style.
We are a ministry of First Baptist Church Dover. We pray with our children and teach them about Jesus and God’s love. Our older twos and three yr olds and our VPK classes attend chapel once a week with one of the pastors from FBCD.

What are the ratios for children to teacher?
In order to provide high quality, individualized care, most of God’s Garden’s ratios exceed those mandated by child care licensing.
The ratios for the center are as follows:
Infants- 1:4
Toddlers- 1:6
Two-year olds- 1:8
Three- year olds- 1:10
VPK – 1:11
What forms do I need to register my child?

What programs do you offer for Infants and Toddlers?
Families of infants and toddlers may choose a 2, 3, 4 or 5-day schedule. We do not offer a part day program for infants or toddlers.
*Please note, a 2-day schedule means Tuesday and Thursday. A 3-day schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
What programs do you offer for Twos, Threes and VPK?
Families have a variety of options from which to choose, based on availability. These options include attendance for 2, 3, or 5 days per week with the following schedule choices:
Preschool Only: 8:30am – 11:30 am
Extended Day: 8:30 am – 3:30pm
Full-Day: 7:00 am – 5:30
